Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
* BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy
* Active registration with the Health Care Professions Council
* Evidence of CPD and clinical skills relevant to the areas of Stroke and rehabilitation
* Team leadership experience
* Evidence of being a supervisor, student mentor/ clinical educator
Desirable criteria
* In-depth experience of a broad base of O.T. clinical skills within a physical health setting
* Experience of devising and delivering training
* Experience of leading clinical audit and service evaluation
* Member of a specialist interest group
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
* Ability to carry out in-depth O.T. assessment of complex clients with a diverse range of pathologies
* Ability to formulate specialist programmes of intervention, implement and evaluate treatment for complex patients
* Experience of patient discharge planning
* Problem-solving skills and prioritisation skills
* Flexible and open to change, adaptable
* MDT approach, open communication
* Ability to travel between sites
Desirable criteria
* Complaints/conflict management
* Experience with local and national policies
* Experience of quality assurance and quality audit within practice
