Wild Bio is a well-funded, fast-paced Oxford University spin-out working from state-of-the-art labs and offices at Milton Park, Oxfordshire. We are about to enter an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a highly organised and motivated Finance Assistant to join us and significantly contribute to delivering the change we believe in.
The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Finance Lead. This role will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day financial operations.
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Process supplier invoices, payments, credit card transactions and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Reconcile bank statements/credit cards and financial records.
3. Reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts and preparing adjustment journals.
4. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
5. Maintain and update financial data in accounting systems.
6. Support internal audits and compliance checks.
7. Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
2. Good Excel skills.
3. Knowledge in financial software – ideally Xero.
4. Understanding of basic accounting principles.
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Location:
We’re headquartered in Milton Park, a business and technology park in Oxfordshire. We are a small, fast-paced team working on cutting-edge science, and we believe the relationships forged and the work we do in-person will be crucial for our success. This is a part-time, hybrid role for 22.5 hours per week, requiring 1-2 days in the office each week.
The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
