Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team as part of a well-established rotational training programme. You will be supported in your role and development by our Principal and Senior Pharmacists, and the post will be rotational through a number of specialties including: Acute medicine, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Oncology/Aseptic services, Cardiology, Care of Elderly/Frailty, Medicines Information, Patient Services, Paediatrics, Women's Services, Trauma and Orthopaedics, and Surgery. Future exciting plans for rotations in mental health and general practice are also in progress. You will be encouraged to develop within this role and we would support you in achieving all the required skills, knowledge and behaviours described in the Foundation Pharmacist Framework. We will also encourage you to become actively involved in training other staff, supporting the education and training initiatives across our department. Main duties of the job You will play an essential role in optimising patient care during their hospital stay and at discharge. You will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team; liaising with doctors, nurses and other allied healthcare professionals. Whilst on clinical rotations, you will be entirely ward based, maximising on opportunities to interact with patients. We have an outstanding Medicines Management Technician team who will work closely with you on the wards.
