Packaging Designer £30,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience plus annual performance bonus and fantastic benefits Full-time, based onsite Due to the location of the Estate, a driving license is recommended for this role Take a look at our retail products www.thenewtinsomerset.com Our Packaging Designer This exciting new role will be responsible for creating high-performing, creative packaging concepts for our branded products, produced inhouse by our internal food production teams and expert external suppliers. You will manage packaging projects, design prototypes, ensure compliance, and enhance sustainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing supplier relationships. Working closely with the wider marketing team on brand look and feel, you will build close relationships with the product development managers to achieve our commercial goals. Key Responsibilities Design Development: Develop packaging concepts from initial ideation to final production, including primary, secondary, and promotional packaging for our food and beverage products. Brand Consistency: Ensure all packaging designs are aligned with brand guidelines, consistently reflecting our brand identity and product positioning. Material Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant materials, finishes, and their applications in packaging, with an eye toward quality, durability, and design. Supplier Collaboration: Liaise directly with suppliers on packaging development and sampling, ensuring accurate material selection and high-quality production outcomes. Packaging & Print Design: Create prototypes and mock-ups to visualize packaging concepts, test functionality, and troubleshoot design issues. Project Management: Manage multiple creative projects at once, from conception to delivery, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high creative standards. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, Product and Marketing teams to align creative efforts with the broader business objectives, contributing to campaigns and product launches.
