As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of our homes in the following areas:
* Derby
* Doncaster
* Halifax
* Castleford

Job Description:
In the role of the Service Manager, you will have a crucial responsibility of managing our committed team of Deputy Service Managers, motivating them to prioritise the well-being, safety, and development of the young people in our care. Working closely with service management and other stakeholders, your focus will be on creating an environment that not only supports the professional growth of our managers but also fosters developmental opportunities and positive experiences for the young individuals we serve.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Deputy Service Managers.
* Conduct regular supervisions, probations, and appraisals for the Deputy Service Managers.
* Foster a positive and collaborative working environment to ensure the well-being of managers, staff, and young people.
* Ensure all homes adhere to The Supported Accommodation Regulations (England) 2023 and any other relevant regulations and standards.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
* Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations or incidents within our homes.
* Work collaboratively with Deputy Service Managers to implement improvements based on feedback, audits, and inspections.
* Ensure efficient resource allocation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Facilitate training sessions and workshops to support the professional development of Deputy Service Managers.
* Foster and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, relevant professionals, families, and external agencies.
* Ensure accurate record keeping related to your own actions and communications.
Requirements:
* Diploma Level 5 in Children, Young People, and Families Management.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a managerial role within children's social care, supported accommodation, or a similar setting.
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding, and child protection.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.
* A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
* Flexibility to travel and work on a regional basis.
* Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
