Altera Infrastructure have a fantastic opportunity available for a dynamic Integrity Engineer to join their onshore team.

The Integrity Engineer will support and report to the Maintenance Superintendent, and be an integral part of the Operations, Readiness and Assurance (OR&A) Team and the FPSO Operations support team following project completion. The role will interact with the project team, Altera technical support and our client/s, to ensure all Integrity related technical and administration support duties are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
The role will provide in-house ownership of the Technical Integrity Management (TIM) of Static Topsides Process Plant in the UK, and will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and follow up of topsides static process plant technical integrity on the FPSO. The role involves managing risk assessment and inspection programs to minimize the risk of major accident hazards (MAHs) and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The position will develop an individual preventive Fabric Maintenance (FM) in accordance with AIP company procedures and shall ensure that the program is approved and implemented in AIP’s CMMS and executed in due time. Additionally, it will assist in assessment of FM observations, providing recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent.
The Integrity Engineer will also be required to assist with other aspects of OR&A preparation as required, and as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent.
The role is primarily onshore based, however there may be opportunities for travel to project sites and offshore locations as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
* Maintain an overview of the topsides static process plant, piping (including marine systems) Technical Integrity status for the Asset.
* Ensure timely reporting, analyse integrity data, monitor trends and proactively act when an unwanted development or risk can be seen and recommend any mitigation measures. This work must be coordinated with, and supported by, the relevant Engineering and Technical Authority disciplines as required.
* Participate and support on risk management including participating in hazard identification and risk assessment processes, to ensure that the risks for Major Accidents related to loss of topsides static process plant Technical Integrity are at an acceptable level and kept As Low As Reasonably Practicable according to the ALARP principle for UKCS operations.
* Follow up and handling of anomalies in accordance with company procedures.
* Work with the Maintenance Superintendent, Contractor focal point and offshore inspection teams to drive the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Programme for ship and equipment and carry out corrective actions according to findings.
* Co-ordinate and support offshore inspections and ensure all engineering work is carried out in line with legislative requirements, company procedures and industry best practices.
* Participate and provide guidance to all the FPSO operation teams in UK in topsides static process plant technical integrity status review meetings which as a minimum shall be held annually for each unit.
* Develop, implement and follow-up Fabric Maintenance (FM) program for the FPSO, including assessment and recommendations from FM surveys.
* Take the lead in contract development and appointment process of 3rd party contractor, and be the contract focal point in the operational phase.

Qualifications
* BSc required within Material Science or NDT and/or equivalent industry standard NDT Certification.
* Proven experience working as an Integrity Engineer within the Offshore O&G Industry is essential.
* Previous Operational procedural and support experience is essential.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to offshore integrity management.
* Experience within risk-based inspection analysis, Inspection management and Inspection methods.
* Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and mitigation techniques.
* Able to read, interpret and apply information from drawings, reports and manuals.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and able to set clear expectations and accountabilities.
* Must be flexible to take on additional tasks to assist the company.
* Team player with confidence to challenge the team and be challenged.
* Proactive with independent working skills and good attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and plan workload to meet deadlines to achieve required targets.
