As a Rent & Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations related to rent collection and service charge management. You will play a vital role in helping us deliver transparent, well-managed financial services that benefit both our residents and our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the accurate billing and collection of rent and service charges across our portfolio of properties
Manage and maintain detailed records of rent payments, service charge calculations, and adjustments
Prepare and process service charge budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators
Resolve any discrepancies or issues with rent and service charge payments in a timely and professional manner
Rental and service charge reconciliations
Managing estate management recharging and reconciliations
Experience Required:
Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in property management or housing
Strong understanding of rent and service charge accounting processes
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive, organized approach with a keen eye for detail
A degree in Accounting or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is desirable
