The Role We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Claims Executive, specialising in Professional Indemnity claims. In this role, you’ll ensure exceptional client support by managing claims efficiently and obtaining the best outcomes for our clients. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring our high standards of business retention, while also providing technical expertise and advice when required. What You’ll Be Doing Client and Claims Management : Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and insurers, keeping them informed of claim developments and securing the best possible settlements. Administrative Support : Set up new claims on internal systems, process collections, and maintain accurate paper and electronic records. Correspondence and Reporting : Prepare correspondence, maintain templates, and generate reports to support decision-making and client satisfaction. Policy and Compliance : Follow company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance across all claims-related activities. Stakeholder Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, attending occasional meetings with clients, brokers, or underwriters. Personal Development : Stay informed on industry, legal, and regulatory developments and actively participate in training opportunities. Team Collaboration : Support team initiatives, projects, and the development of colleagues where needed. Who We’re Looking For Experience in claims handling or within an insurance and client-facing environment. A good understanding of insurance principles and claims processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines. Negotiation and influencing skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Resilience under pressure and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. A team player who can also work independently and on their own initiative. Qualifications A-levels (grades A-C or equivalent) preferred. Progression towards professional qualifications, such as LLMIT (Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test) or ACII, is desirable but not essential. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
