We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary SEN provision in the Colne area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and looking for a long-term career in an incredibly rewarding environment.
The position is Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a competitive pay rate of £13.75 per hour. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis with the potential to go permanent, providing long-term stability for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting students with a range of SEN needs in the classroom, providing support both academically and emotionally
* Working closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning plans
* Helping students develop social and communication skills in a supportive, nurturing environment
* Supporting students in managing behaviour and maintaining a calm and positive classroom atmosphere
* Promoting independence and encouraging students to engage with all aspects of their education
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children with SEN, or a strong desire to support their development
* Compassionate, patient, and understanding approach
* Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with teachers and other support staff
* A proactive attitude and a commitment to helping students succeed
