Join our dedicated team at Summerdale Vets (part of Summerhill Group). You will be supported by our experienced Head Nurse, RVN, 2 receptionists, and Practice Manager. As part of a larger group, you will always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience (including Certificate holders).
Duties include:
1. Examining and observing animals to diagnose health problems and assess their health
2. Performing laboratory tests on samples and specimens
3. Dressing and treating wounds, performing surgery, and prescribing medication
4. Testing for diseases and administering vaccinations
5. Performing ultrasound and diagnostic imaging tests
6. Advising animal owners on preventive healthcare, general care, and nutrition
7. Spaying and neutering dogs and cats
8. Maintaining medical records of animals

This is a full or part-time position. Typically, the full-time position is Monday to Friday with 1 in 5 Saturdays, and no out-of-hours requirements. We are happy to discuss the days/hours at interview.

Our Summerdale branch is in the lovely town of Cwmbran and is part of a group of 8 small animal branches across South Wales. Our practice is close to local amenities, train station, bus stations, and the city centres of Newport & Cardiff.
Our practice boasts three spacious consulting rooms, a large welcoming waiting area, separate kennels and cattery, large prep area with lab, separate ops room, and x-ray room. We also have onsite parking for our clients and team.
