We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic DT Teacher to join our forward-thinking department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on lessons across a range of DT disciplines, fostering creativity, practical skills, and technical understanding among students with SEMH, Autism and other associated difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, practical and theoretical lessons in Design & Technology.
* Encourage students to develop problem-solving skills, innovation, and independent thinking.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment, ensuring students follow health and safety guidelines.
* Support students with coursework, projects, and extracurricular DT activities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and learning experience.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience or strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology and practical workshop skills.
* Passion for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and enthusiastic team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
