Required for September 2025, a full-time, excellent classroom practitioner and inspiring advocate for students with challenges, who is ready to contribute to and support the leadership of a class of students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We are looking for a well-qualified, inspirational, and motivated person who is keen to be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team to support the class. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to work in an environment that prides itself on working collaboratively to maximize the potential of all its pupils.
The successful candidate would be expected to bring an innovative, dynamic, and ambitious approach to the class and must demonstrate the ability to:
* Work under the guidance of teaching and/or members of the leadership team and within an agreed system of supervision.
* Support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning, including those with severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, and potentially challenging behaviour.
* Contribute to the teacher's planning cycle ensuring all pupils have equal access to learning.
* Occasionally supervise whole classes during short-term absences of the teacher, focusing on maintaining good order and keeping pupils on task.
The primary role of the level 3 teaching assistant is to support leadership and the class to secure progress while showing a secure commitment to school values. Candidates should thrive on the development and leadership opportunities presented, be outstanding classroom practitioners, and consistently demonstrate the highest standards of support and delivery.
Glan-y-Môr and Bryngwyn School are part of a federation that strives to develop excellent standards and opportunities for all its pupils. The successful candidate would be expected to work collaboratively and closely with colleagues across the federation but will be based at Glan Y Mor.
Glan-y-Môr has shown significant improvement over time, and the latest Estyn Inspection (2017) recorded that both the Current Performance and Prospect for Improvement for the school are Excellent.
