Quality Engineer Location: Ashchurch Salary: Competitive We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Ashchurch. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet stringent quality standards, supporting both operations and quality departments. Key responsibilities include: Implementing and managing inspection and certification control plans. Supporting the Project Management team with contract reviews. Leading APQP requirements, including PPAP and FAIRs. Conducting in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies. Providing manufacturing support to production areas on quality issues. Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and conducting internal audits. Performing product and process audits according to recognised schedules. Managing non-conformance issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Evaluating measurement systems and maintaining performance reports. Key Requirements We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with the following skills and experience: Previous experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in an electronics-based product manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and technical documentation. Familiarity with Defence Standards and electronic/electrical components. Experience in implementing APQP requirements to meet customer expectations. Qualified and experienced auditor to ISO 9001. Knowledge of lean methodologies such as 5S and Poka-Yoke. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience in quality processes within the Defence industry is advantageous.
