You will need to be a caring and dedicated individual prepared to join our hard-working staff team who is committed to high standards. The post holder should have expertise and experience in working with children and relevant qualifications. The successful candidate will ideally: Hold an NVQ Level 3 or above Enjoy working with young children and be passionate about supporting and promoting learning; Be able to engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge children Work successfully as part of a team, accepting and acting upon advice and being proactive where appropriate Be responsible for groups of children and/or conducting 1:1 activities Show initiative Have high expectations of attainment and pupil behaviour Be flexible, hardworking and caring. Be able to liaise with parents A knowledge of children’s literature and promote a love of reading Support and develop the library, putting up and maintaining displays and information boards, supporting exhibitions and one-off events. Has a good sense of humour, likes cake, chocolate and has a positive outlook on life.
