Job Title: Estates Assistant (Land)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy Property & Asset Management Team at Havant Borough Council as an Estates Assistant (Land).
Based in our modern Plaza building in Havant, with easy access to transport links and local shops, we are a friendly team offering a flexible working environment that combines attendance in the office with remote working to meet service requirements.
This role is key to the day-to-day management of council-owned land. It is a hands-on position with a busy workload, suited to a self-starter with good people and organisational skills.
Being situated on the coast, the Borough is an extremely pleasant place to work. Our offices benefit from free parking and a café with excellent coffee!
About the team
The Property & Asset Management Team is a friendly, multi-disciplinary team skilled in asset management, property and land management, building maintenance, and statutory compliance. We work closely across the whole organisation, managing operational land and buildings, as well as non-operational, commercial, and investment properties.
About you
* Experience of working in an office/hybrid environment in a customer-facing role.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, presenting information to diverse audiences with good attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective communication across all channels and levels, including external contacts within the third sector.
* Experience of working in the public sector would be desirable.
* Ability to work well under pressure, often prioritising competing demands.
