Product Experience (PX) represents the voice of the consumers within IFF and helps to drive regional sales by providing insightful intelligence to optimize the consumer product experience.
IFF PX Europe is looking for a Product Experience Researcher for a period of 12 months to cover a period of maternity cover, starting in October 2024.
This position will be based at our site in Haverhill, Suffolk in the UK.
As Product Experience Researcher, you will be responsible to guide and drive sensory and consumer research projects in alignment with business opportunities and corporate strategies. Focusing on the snack category - you will partner closely with the creation and design team to generate sensory and consumer insights that are directly relevant for the product design and formulation. You will also partner with commercial and marketing teams to ensure impactful customer engagement.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will require previous experience in the field of sensory and consumer research and will be strategic, a good team player while being pragmatic and result oriented.

Responsibilities include:
• Influence the generation of high business impact projects for the top 20 Snacks customers in the Europe by leveraging internally available insights.
• Proactively screen snack project pipeline, screen/challenge reactive requests for support, address competing priorities, engage with stakeholders to align on the approach and allocate resources accordingly
• Design and execute sensory and consumer research, ensuring the generation of actionable and valuable insights guiding product design, formulation and development in close collaboration with Technical partners.
• Analyze complex consumer and sensory data using statistical models
• Communicate and present in an impactful way the approach and/or insights at various stages to stakeholders - project team, customers, leadership team.
Required Skills:
• Masters or PhD in Sensory Science, Experimental Psychology, Food Science or related area
• Skills in sensory and consumer methodologies (discriminative & advanced descriptive tests, qualitative & quantitative consumer tests)
• Skills in statistical analysis (be at ease with dynamic descriptive data as well as modeling such as preference mapping or Design of Experiment)
• Ability to craft a compelling story driven by data to deliver insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
