Events Administrator (Maternity Contract)
12 Month Fixed Term Contract to start February 2025
Salary: Up to £25,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
Location: Remote-based with one day in the Wakefield office
If you are immediately available from mid-February and are looking for an interesting administrative role where you'll be making a difference, this Events Administration role might be for you. You’ll be a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a team. This role covers a 12-month maternity leave, and you'll have a handover before taking over the role.
Working from home, you’ll be in the office 1 day per week, though you may have to attend some events providing administrative support if required.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Administering, supporting, and assisting with event project delivery activities
2. Providing an efficient, top-quality, client-focused service to customers and potential customers
3. Office administration, answering the telephone, and dealing with emails
4. Updating the CRM system and website with correct event information
5. Managing bookings and keeping accurate attendance records
6. Preparing course-branded materials and hand-outs before events
7. Issuing joining instructions to delegates before events
8. Keeping colleagues updated with booking numbers for events and highlighting where more bookings are required
9. Working alongside the marketing team to promote courses and events through marketing mailers and social media
10. Booking staff/speakers/facilitators' travel and accommodation as required
11. Providing on-site support at events as required
12. Issuing contracts for clients
13. Credit control
Skills Required:
* Organised, with the ability to establish, monitor, and maintain office systems and processes with attention to detail
* Good administrative and customer service skills
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team
* A can-do attitude willing to contribute to activities outside of the core job
* A professional manner and attitude
