Audio Visual Lighting and Media (AVLM) Field Support Engineer
Location: S.W London (Remote work permitted with prior agreement)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, over 5 days)
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled AVLM Field Support Engineer to join our Integration team. This role involves providing professional services to support and maintain high-profile projects, key long-term clients, and AVLM SLA customers. You will be responsible for supporting the programming, commissioning, and testing of integrated audio, video, lighting, and media systems within the Broadcast, Leisure, Corporate, and Entertainment sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support AVLM system programming, commissioning, and testing before and after project completion.
* Assist in the creation of O&M documentation and end-user guides.
* Provide ongoing support for AVLM systems as part of customer SLA agreements.
* Set up and support audio, visual, lighting, and media systems; conduct user training as required.
* Assist with projection, LED video wall alignment/calibration, and testing.
* Provide remote support and fault diagnosis for customers in line with SLAs.
* Offer 2nd Line Onsite Technical support for fault finding and issue resolution.
* Collaborate with commissioning, service, and support teams to improve solutions.
* Participate in a support/call-out rota to cover extended support hours.
* Attend pre-planned maintenance/support visits, including system servicing, software/firmware upgrades, and resolving outstanding tickets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for fault resolution.
Technical Skills and Experience:
* Proven IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Extensive experience in AVLM systems, including programming, commissioning, testing, and fault finding.
* Knowledge of system integration, AV control systems, and converged IP networks.
* Experience with AVLM software programming and commissioning is essential.
* Familiarity with real-time render engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, Notch, etc.) is advantageous.
* Prior experience with Disguise/Pixera media servers is a plus.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for both hardware and software issues.
* A solid understanding of current industry legislation and AVLM system integration regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* ECS Card Holder.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in Electrical, Audio, Visual, Lighting, or Media Systems disciplines.
* Full clean driving license is required (essential).
* Willingness to travel for site visits, including international and overnight stays.
