Role Overview
This role will be part of our People and Culture Team, reporting to the People & Culture Manager; perfect for someone looking to further grow their HR career.
From assisting with the recruitment and selection agenda, ensuring our new hires have the best onboarding experience when they join us, to ordering merch and tech for our employees... no two days will be the same!
To be successful in this role you need to be organised, able to plan, prioritise and be a real people person. So, as well as having good verbal and written communication skills you'll be naturally organised and comfortable dealing with a variety of tasks. You'll be speaking with candidates and with other members of the team daily, so you'll need confidence and professionalism even when under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
General HR Support
* Be responsible for administering HR-related documentation across the whole spectrum of employee lifespan in the business (i.e., right through from candidates at offer stage through to leavers from the business).
* Ensure the HR Information system (Currently CharlieHR) is up to date, employee records are accurate and fully completed.
* Complete all new starter and leaver documents.
* Draw up contract amendment letters and ensure all changes are made on the HRIS.
* Assist the People & Culture Manager with all starter and leaver administration.
* Assist the People & Culture Manager with payroll administration tasks on a monthly basis, including absence reporting.
* Assist in the development and revision of company policies to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
* To provide general assistance as needed (e.g. assisting with the performance review cycle and Learning & Development).
* Undertake project work and ad-hoc tasks as required by the People & Culture Manager.
* Assist with any other administrative tasks as and when they arise may be necessary, including helping with travel, gifts etc.
* Provide appropriate reports and updates to the wider team as and when required.
Recruitment
* Work closely with the People & Culture Manager to ensure all recruitment is carried out by following internal processes including advertising roles, communicating with candidates and scheduling interviews.
* Assist with the onboarding journey for all new starters including HR compliance (right to work, requesting references etc) and coordinating the initial induction processes.
* Create the onboarding schedule and provide a great first impression of working at Ph. Creative.
As well as this list, you’ll need to take on other tasks in line with the job too. But we’ll give you the tools and support you need to succeed, whatever we ask you to do.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
* Basic knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment law.
* Ability to handle sensitive employee and company information with confidentiality, professionalism and discretion.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
* Numerate and strong PC Skills in MS 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with candidates and external suppliers
* Strong written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence
* Great communication skills and the ability to influence and build relationships is key
* Excellent computer keyboard and data-entry skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good organisational skills.
