We are looking for a Machine Operative to start straight away.
Hours are 4pm to Midnight or 3.30pm to 11.30pm (Monday to Thursday only - 4 days) 37.5 Hours.
We are seeking a versatile Machine Operative/Technician who has some experience working in a Manufacturing/Production Environment. Perhaps you have been a machine minder, operating to certain standards with a clear eye for hand coordination.
The role is a support function, so the tasks will vary daily depending on where the demands are within the production process. The main tasks include the following:
1. Train on the OPTO process.
2. Filling OPTO moulds with resin, using ovens, and removing OPTOs from moulds.
3. Testing OPTOSs and logging results.
4. Supporting end of line.
5. This is a team role covering OPTO Build and Test, Encapsulation, End of Line, Casing Final Inspection, and Packing.
6. The role includes day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of the associated equipment.
7. The preparation of encapsulated assemblies as required by the Company's production schedule.
8. Conventional hand assembly of cases and other small parts.
9. End of Line completion of products and Packing.
10. Inspection of the finished sub-assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and are fit for production purposes.
11. Updating computer records and paperwork systems where needed.
12. Maintaining tidiness and good working order of the Manufacturing department.
13. Ensuring all machinery is kept clean and maintained in good working order; any machinery issues to be escalated immediately.
14. The preparation and use of moulds.
15. Operating a resin dispensing machine, vacuum chamber, and oven.
Requirements include:
1. Ability to operate in an environment where chemical-based products such as adhesives and resins, solder, and cleaning agents are used, some of which generate small levels of fume or dust.
2. Ability to lift loads up to 25kg from various locations (e.g., floors, racks, etc.).
3. Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
