Summary of functions
To set and operate CNC turners to produce aerospace components to customer specification.
This role will include:
1. Set and operate CNC lathes, some of which have live tooling.
2. Check and inspect own work using inspection equipment (Verniers, micrometres, SPG’s and PPG’s).
3. In process inspection to ensure total process control is maintained.
4. Manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards.
5. Ensure that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current process on job cards.
6. Ensure that preventative machine maintenance schedules are strictly carried out.
7. Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
Skills and experience required:
1. Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (indentures accepted).
2. Knowledge of Fanuc control systems.
3. Experience working with engineering drawings and work to instructions i.e. job cards.
4. Ability to set and operate different machine tools.
5. PC literate.

Hours: 46 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 6:00pm until 6:00am (basic rate +50% night shift enhancement)
