Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional who has attention to detail to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience of budget setting for a circa £4bn organisation, communicate with all levels within the organisation and further develop time management and planning skills. You will also be required to lead the corporate financial management team through month end processes and also the year end process and submission of the ICB's accounts. Other duties will include the management of the ICB's allocations and the reporting of reserves on a monthly basis. Main duties of the job The post holder will support the Director of Financial Management to provide an exemplary financial budgeting and reporting function for South East London ICB, ensuring there is good engagement with budget holders, programme leads and stakeholders (e.g. providers). This post will line manage the corporate financial management through the Senior Finance Manager, ensuring they are able to undertake the duties required of them. This will include ensuring the department is appropriately resourced at all times and workloads are managed.The postholder will work closely with finance colleagues within the Planning Directorate to ensure alignment between the financial planning and budget setting processes for the ICB. The postholder will lead the budget setting process for the ICB, supporting work on short, medium and long term financial plans and supporting the ICB's actions to create and maintain sustainable, affordable and high quality services.The postholder will also lead on ensuring that a clear and appropriate process is in place for controlling and reconciliating the ICB's financial allocations. The postholder will be the named ICB contact for all financial allocations.
