PA required to support 11-year-old in Oldfield Park area of Bath.
Job Overview
Support required for 11-year-old girl who lives with her mum and older sister in Bath. We are looking for a friendly, compassionate female PA who has experience with autistic children with selective mutism.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience of female presentations of autism and atypical presentations of autism such as PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), as well as experience with children who suffer from chronic constipation and demand avoidance.
Role Expectations
The ideal PA will provide support in a therapeutic manner, being flexible to be child-led and guided by the child’s interests, including creative activities such as art and music. By creating a trusting relationship, it will empower the child to self-advocate.
Details
Location: Oldfield Park, Bath
Hours: 4 hours per week during term time & 8 hours per week during school holidays.
Pay: £11.44 Per Hour, paid through the PAYE scheme.
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time).
Start Date: ASAP.
Duties
Duties to be discussed in full at interview but will include creative play and meal preparation for a gluten-free diet.
Essential Requirements
1. DBS Check – To be funded by employer.
2. Must be female PA due to an element of personal care.
3. Clean driving license and own car.
4. Experience with autistic children – particularly selective mutism and PDA.
