About the Role:
We are seeking a Projects Engineer with a strong background in hydraulic systems to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. This role involves managing engineering projects from conception to completion, with a focus on hydraulic systems used in offshore, subsea, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in hydraulic design, installation, and troubleshooting, along with experience in project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Oversee and manage engineering projects related to hydraulic systems, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
✅ Provide technical support for the design, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic equipment.
✅ Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
✅ Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
✅ Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and client specifications.
✅ Prepare project documentation, reports, and technical drawings as required.
✅ Assist in research and development of new hydraulic solutions and technologies.
✅ Work both onshore and offshore as required to support project activities.
Key Requirements:
🔹 Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related discipline.
🔹 Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and fluid power principles.
🔹 Experience with hydraulic circuit design, pumps, valves, actuators, and control systems.
🔹 Project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
🔹 Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
🔹 Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
🔹 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
🔹 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
🔹 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
🔹 Offshore certification (desirable but not essential).
