As Technical Accounting Manager, you will be part of the finance function within Bupa Global, India and the UK. You will be involved in various accounting/finance matters, ensuring compliance with IFRSs and local reporting requirements while supporting the business units with technical accounting queries.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing draft technical accounting analysis and papers for the Head of Financial Reporting.
2. Understanding the MU consolidated balance sheet position for presentation to the Head of Financial Reporting.
3. Identifying and raising issues with the Head of Financial Reporting.
4. Involvement in capital management for each statutory entity.
5. Improving the control framework within BGIUK MU in relation to IFRS group and statutory reporting.
6. Handling external statutory entity specific queries.
7. Ensuring appropriate access to Group tools across BGIUK MU.
8. Maintaining awareness of complex and new transactions for compliance.
9. Supporting BUs with the reporting IFRS submissions.
10. Managing the preparation of annual statutory accounts for consolidations.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
1. An experienced chartered accountant, with IFRS experience.
2. Confident with technical accounting assessments.
3. Analytical and lateral thinking with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
4. Flexible and pragmatic.
5. Able to work under pressure, handling multiple priorities.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Competent user of financial systems and Microsoft packages.
