A s the ILS Manager, you will be responsible for developing robust engineering solutions within your discipline, taking into account the impact of your work on broader project issues. Engineers will be expected to plan and deliver their own work across medium-term planning horizons and provide complex technical advice to both internal and external customers while being responsible for developing others.
Typical Accountabilities:
1. Mentor, coach, and develop more junior members of the team to enhance overall capability.
2. Manage a team effectively as a team leader/line manager.
3. Present robust engineering solutions at design and peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy of specifications, designs, and reports.
4. Undertake project tasks, detailing input, processes, and output together with cost/timescale constraints to ensure delivery of project objectives.
5. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and techniques.
6. Take an active role in engineering process improvement.
7. Supervise team members and manage this workload effectively.
8. Take ownership of a work package, planning and scheduling own workload and the work of others.
9. Interact effectively with customers and suppliers.
10. Demonstrate technical expertise within supportability.
11. Define standards and procedures to be used in accomplishing all appropriate engineering tasks.
