About the role: We are looking for a standalone HR Adviser to our four friendly UK studios, reporting to the Finance Director and supporting the work of our People & Culture working group, which looks at HR strategically. You will co-ordinate our HR administration and processes, benefits, employee relations, and employee engagement. As the sole HR Adviser for Gillespies you will be supported by an outsourced external consultancy for more complex issues and our experienced studio managers, as well as a skilled and friendly Finance team based in Oxford. Please see below for more information: Key Activities: Assist with recruitment, employee relations issues, performance management, absence management, and learning and development. Prepare and manage all personnel administration and records, including contracts, offer letters, promotion letters and reference requests, ensuring data is accurate, complete and up to date (we use BambooHR). Collaborate with the Studio Managers to ensure employee relations and HR processes (including onboarding and offboarding) are effective across all studios. Ensure our immigration and visa compliance with the support of our external immigration adviser. Support recruitment exercises across all studios. Support monthly payroll, working closely with Finance. Monitor absences and advise on absence issues when they arise. Manage staff benefits’ administration. Be the point of contact for managers on HR-related queries, using our outsourced HR consultancy for support where required. What we are looking for: This position requires a positive individual with a minimum of two years’ experience in an HR role, a good understanding of the key HR principles and a commitment to developing a supportive workplace where career development is key including: A good understanding of the Human Resources function, processes, and best practices. Proven experience in a similar role, or looking to progress from an HR administrator role. CIPD Foundation Certificate (Level 3) (or studying for a CIPD qualification) is desirable. Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Demonstrable attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, excellent spoken and written English. Good commercial acumen, understanding the wider operating business environment. Ability to work well under pressure.
