Milestone is currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to work on our street lighting contracts in the South/East London region
As a Contracts Manager you will be part of our Street Lighting and Highway Electrical Sector who are responsible for over 300,000 assets across its business. You must be flexible in your approach and be willing to travel and support new contracts contracts
As the Contracts Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:
* Lead day to day operations of specific street lighting and highway electrical projects, responsible for all aspects of these projects including commercial performance.
* Performance management and improvement against key business targets in line with the Milestone business Safer, Greener Highways business plan
* Demonstrate commitment to the requirements of our SHWEQ policies and to ensure they are adhered to on all of the projects, we work safely or not at all.
* Take a centric approach to our client, stakeholders and leadership teams so everyone understands what is required to be delivered.
* Ensuring the management and development of our people within the projects is delivered and within industry requirements and standards.
* Effective cost control and process management of contracts.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
* Health and Safety focused with suitable knowledge/qualifications of the industry.
* Min 3 years previous demonstrable experience within the highway lighting and electrical sector.
* Electrical background with electrical industry qualifications
* Proven track record of managing multi task functions within a project in excess of £2m p.a
* Knowledge of commercial conditions and P&L control.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
* Strong people and process management
* Great project management skills
* Demonstrable people/team leading skills
