Join our vibrant and diverse team at our Manchester (Hyde) office and become a valued member of our working family. We are proud of our talented employees with diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences who deliver our world class service to our customers and ensure our culture of positivity, innovation and creativity will continue to drive us towards a brighter, more sustainable future.
The role:
This is a newly created role designed to drive further growth across Project Better Energy, with a particular focus on Project Solar, the UK’s largest installer of household solar panels. The role comes at an exciting time as we work to accelerate the business, building on recent investment to take it to the next level.
This is a dual-focus role, with approximately 70% of the time dedicated to external marketing and 30% to internal communications.
For the external marketing focus, the goal is to grow our B2C customer base by scaling our direct acquisition efforts through digital, offline, and referral marketing. We have a great product, excellent customer experiences, and an ambitious vision. The successful candidate will help elevate our marketing efforts from early-stage activity to high-performing, scalable campaigns that deliver measurable results.
On the internal communications side, our growth—spanning four business units and over 250 employees—has brought the need for a more structured approach to keeping everyone informed and engaged. This is an opportunity to build on our dynamic company culture by creating systems and processes that make Project Better Energy an even better place to work.
This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact both externally, by driving customer acquisition, and internally, by shaping how we connect and communicate as a business—making it a truly unique and rewarding position.

* Assist in managing offline advertising campaigns, tracking their performance, and making recommendations for optimisation.
* Collaborate closely with designers and copywriters to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
Internal Communications (30%)
* Develop and implement an internal communications strategy to improve employee engagement and ensure information flows seamlessly across the business.
* Manage regular internal newsletters, updates, and announcements.

* Creative and Strategic Thinking: A creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas to marketing and communications strategies, while also taking a structured approach to planning and execution.
* Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across teams, including leadership, HR, design, and external partners.
* Content Creation: Experience developing engaging content for marketing channels such as blogs, websites, social media, and internal communications platforms.
