Join Our Team as a Property & Facilities Service Building Manager!
Based in Burton with hybrid working, we are excited to welcome a highly organised and personable individual to our Facilities team as a Building Manager. We’re constantly evolving our business and this is a really exciting time to join us whilst we enable our current plans to move our awesome colleagues to a brand new office in 2025 and this will play a big part in making this happen smoothly.
As well as supporting our move you’ll be the first point of contact for our Head Office staff, ensuring their experience is exceptional and overseeing the efficient daily operations of our building. Your passion for delivering high standards of customer service will be essential as you lead our team of Business Services Assistants, including Front of House and Post Room staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Budget Management: Oversee Head Office maintenance revenue expenditure by controlling budgets, reviewing order placements, contracts, forecasts, and conducting trend analyses.
* Cost Control: Collaborate with procurement to drive value, manage costs, and ensure efficient building maintenance.
* Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the 3-year Long Range Plan (LRP) for central Property & Facilities Services, aligning with the broader business strategy.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Champion and develop EH&S practices, ensuring legislative adherence to guarantee the safety of employees, contractors, visitors, suppliers, and the public. Act as a responsible person for contractor compliance and safe working practices.
* Team Leadership: Lead the Business Services team with clear objectives. Develop, implement, and review processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service. Adapt team functions to meet evolving business needs.
* Event Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all events at the Head Office, managing meeting settings and liaising with stakeholders to ensure events and meeting spaces meet requirements.
* Operational Readiness: Work with the Large Projects Manager to ensure the new Head Office is operationally ready.
About You:
* Experience in working as front of house, office/buildings manager is a must.
* Knowledge of office workplace H&S is desirable.
* Friendly, personable, and approachable, happy to be the ‘go-to’ person for a medium-sized but busy office.
* Flexible in approach to projects/workload and ability to adapt to new and changing situations.
* Ability to work closely with and interact in a team environment and with Senior Stakeholders.
* Happy to work with minimum supervision and use own judgement in order to make good commercial decisions.
* To be First Aider and Fire Marshal trained or be willing to become both.
