Quantity Surveyor
Location: London, Blackfriars OR Edinburgh (office attendance required 5-10 days per month)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Day Rate: £500-£600

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a passion for Renewable Energy to join an international firm on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in a major offshore wind program by supporting the delivery of two 23km linear onshore cable routes. This program is crucial to the UK government's goal of providing offshore wind energy to every home in the UK by 2030.
Key Projects:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will primarily focus on supporting the Land Export Cable team, responsible for:
* The landfall drill: multiple complex and non-complex drills along the cable corridor.
* Open-cut trenching and topsoil reinstatement.
* 275kV and 400kV cable supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
* Strategic sourcing support – managing ITTs and bidder relationships.
* ECI/EPCI contract negotiations.
* Commercial evaluations.
* Inflation management.
* Internal reporting (written and presentations).
* Budget management.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience with various procurement approaches in large-scale projects.
* Extensive expertise in contract negotiation and management.
* Demonstrated track record of managing contracts from initiation through to final account stages.
* Strong knowledge of contract management frameworks, including FIDIC, LOGIC, and NEC3.
* A recognised degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
