Deputy Information Security Officer (f/m/d)
As the university of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the German Sport University Cologne is unique in Germany with its research spectrum and around 6,000 students. It is also one of the most renowned universities in its field internationally.
In the Academic Planning and Management Unit, the Information Security and Digital Transformation Department is seeking to fill a full-time, permanent position as Deputy Information Security Officer (f/m/d) with a regular working week of currently 39 hours and 50 minutes as soon as possible.
Your main tasks
* You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the university's information security status and documenting the results.
* You will provide advice and training on information security issues for employees and students.
* You will be involved in updating the university's information security concept and in processes for monitoring and ensuring the legally compliant and data protection-compliant use and security design of IT resources.
* You will represent the Information Security Officer in the Business Continuity Management System (BCM).
* You will be involved in analyzing and monitoring information security incidents and support the Information Security Officer in internal (management level) and external (authorities) communication.
* You will be involved in business processes with an impact on information processing and in the introduction of new IT systems and IT applications.
Profile
Your professional profile
Required are
* Completed scientific university degree (university diploma or master's degree) in a subject qualifying for this position, preferably in the field of information security, computer science, engineering or with a legal focus or a relevant university degree (FH diploma or bachelor's degree), preferably in one of the above subjects, in conjunction with several years of relevant professional experience or relevant training in conjunction with further training in the field of IT security and many years of relevant professional experience
* Very good knowledge of the BSI IT-Grundschutz compendium
* Very good knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27000 series
* Knowledge in the field of information security and the willingness to continuously deepen this knowledge
Desirable are
* Experience in the application of relevant standards of the Federal Office for Information Security, in particular the IT Basic Compendium
* Good knowledge of the IT basic protection profile for universities of the ZKI
* Experience with tools for documenting and managing information security
* Certification in the area of information security
* Knowledge of the design and operation of IT infrastructures and security mechanisms at network, operating system and application level
* Experience with university structures, university organizational procedures and administrative processes
