The Trust supports agile working & the ability to work from home part of the time can be facilitated alongside flexible start & finish times An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychologist to work in our Acute & Urgent Care Directorate (A&UC) on our female only ward to offer maternity cover. The successful applicant will work alongside a psychologically-minded team of nurses, medics & allied health professionals on a newly refurbished ward to improve the therapeutic environment. This post will be supported by 1 WTE (37.5hrs) Assistant Psychologist. The successful applicant will work alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Senior Clinical Psychologist & four other Assistant Psychologists based at the same location. Within the A&UC there are also Psychologists within Crisis Care & Mental Health Liaison. Main duties of the job The Harplands Hospital would welcome applicants for a Psychologist to complement the MDT on the female only ward. We are seeking someone looking for variety in their work. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessment, as well as individual & group interventions. You will also be actively involved in teaching & training for ward staff, providing reflective practice & consultation & offering team based formulations. You will also be an integral part of the A&UC Psychology team & will have direct support & consultation from the wider team. This post will be supported through clinical supervision offered by the Principal Psychologist & managerial supervision with the Ward Manager. Aside from direct clinical work, you will be encouraged to contribute to service development, quality improvement & research projects.
