The Leicestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) are looking to recruit a Policy and Research Officer to provide relevant and accurate information to enable the analytical process to take place effectively, informing and influencing decisions allowing the effective deployment of operational resources. This is a full-time permanent position located at Force Headquarters, Leicester.
Key Responsibilities
• To support the development and implementation of a wide range of policies, plans and strategies.
• Undertake research and analysis of local, national and (where relevant) international practices related to areas of the Police and Crime Plan.
• To collect, audit, prepare and present both qualitative and quantitative data, including statistics, using computer statistical presentation packages where appropriate.
The must haves
• Experience in policy development with the ability to work within technical detail and strategic context.
• Experience of researching, analysing and summarising information to inform decisions based on the best available evidence.
• The ability to identify policy-based issues, devising creative solutions to address them.

Salary - £30,468 - £34,329
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
