We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer with some Project experience to carry out a 3 month contract at our Client's site in Northampton. You will be able to understand and contribute to achieving the goals of the Factory by efficiently carrying out any maintenance operation or task, using skills to the highest appropriate level.
The role involves working as part of the Engineering function primarily within the Packing & Process areas however you will be working in other areas of the Factory as and when required.
Responsibilites will include:
* Overhaul and repair of plant during production and out of production.
* Carry out all work in a safe, hygienic, and professional manner.
* Carry out any tasks within the team using your skills to the appropriate level.
* Continually monitor areas of the factory, liaising with manufacturing staff to meet changes as required.
* To be actively involved in plant improvement groups through Area Managers & the Engineering Lead.
* Effective planned maintenance inspections using the CMMS.
* To offer support and guidance to engineers and operators.
* To assist with parts of the ongoing project work
* Responsible to ensure the safety of themselves and others within the team.
* To make others aware of any health and safety issues
* Responsible for the up keep and maintenance on all factory and plant based equipment
* To liaise with internal and external contractors and visitors.
It is essential you have a good working knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering problems, you are able to faultfind and can read engineering drawings, and can work equally well on your own and as part of a team.
You will be apprentice served or hold a recognised engineering qualification.
You will be working on an alternating shift pattern between days and nights.
6.00 – 18.00 and 18.00 – 6.00 or permanent days 8:00am – 4:00pm
