ABOUT THE ROLE
Based upon current and anticipated workload, my client is recruiting permanently for a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing contaminated land remediation contracts throughout the UK however the initial project will be based on Fawley Refinery in Hampshire.
As a Remediation Project Manager will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to the Operations Director, coordinating activities with the site team and client. You will be responsible for managing the technical, operational and commercial aspects of all remediation projects, ensuring they are managed within time and budget and that health and safety is adhered to at all times. As a Project Manager, you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contact and its duration and you will have a clear understanding of the client and project expectations and requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a degree or HNC in a construction related discipline (geology, civil engineering or similar). Given this is a senior opportunity, my client is targeting professionals with a minimum of 7 years’ contracting experience within the remediation / contaminated land sector and this must have been gained whilst working for a contractor in the UK. Furthermore, you must hold an SMSTS, CSCS and WAMITAB, be commercially aware and experienced at providing cost effect solutions in a highly competitive market.
As this is a permanent opportunity, it is vital that you can demonstrate stability of employment throughout your career, holding each previous appointment for a minimum of 2 years.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £50,000 – £60,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
In addition to this, a generous package is offered which includes a car allowance, subsistence for working away, 25 days annual leave plus hank holidays, private health care, enrolment on to their pension scheme, paid volunteering days and professional membership fees will be covered.
