Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester

The company work on a variety of projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, leisure and sport sectors with projects ranging in value from £10m - £300m.
Due to the growth within the business and their continued success they are now looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.
The role – Project Quantity Surveyor
As a Project Quantity you be an integral part of the team and will take the lead on a large £15m industrial unit in Manchester. You will be reporting into the Commercial Manager overseeing the project and will be responsible for the following duties:
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
* Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
* Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
* Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
* Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
* Advice when required on cost management, or value management.
* Maintaining quality control procedures.
* Health & Safety management.
* Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
* Ensure cash flow is maximized.
Required skills and knowledge as a Project Quantity Surveyor?
* A degree/equivalent qualification (HNC/HND).
* At least 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying position.
* Have a strong Main Contractor background.
