Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our team in Basingstoke. This role is essential in supporting our customers and technicians by providing expert advice, sourcing parts, and managing inventory efficiently. The Parts Advisor will play a crucial role in delivering a high level of service and ensuring that our parts operations run smoothly. This is a full-time, weekday role with a competitive salary of up to £35,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Sales Support:
Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors by identifying and sourcing the correct parts, offering product advice, and providing pricing information.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, process stock orders, and ensure availability of parts to support efficient service operations.
Order Processing:
Handle parts orders from initial request to delivery, ensuring prompt and accurate completion of orders.
Parts Identification:
Utilize parts catalogues and systems to identify and locate parts, ensuring accuracy in part numbers and descriptions.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers to manage parts orders, track shipments, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
Stock Control and Replenishment:
Conduct regular stock checks, identify low stock levels, and replenish inventory as needed to avoid shortages and support business demands.
Documentation and Records Management:
Accurately record all parts transactions, maintain invoices and receipts, and ensure documentation complies with company policies.Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
Familiarity with parts ordering, inventory management, and customer service.
Product Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of automotive or commercial vehicle parts and their applications.
Customer Service Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer support.
Attention to Detail:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in parts identification and inventory records.
IT Skills:
Proficient in using inventory management software, parts catalogues, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support other departments as needed.Benefits:
