The Company:
We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain/ Merchandise Manager to join a dynamic and growing business. You will be responsible for developing and implementing long term strategies that drive market performance and profitability through effective supply chain management. You will be working closely with the Head of Department, overseeing inventory optimisation and supply chain management, accurate sales forecasting and analysis, and leading a dynamic supply chain team to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
The Role:
* Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
* Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and profitability. Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
* Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
* Implement strategies to optimise supply chain costs and improve profitability.
* Develop initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction through effective supply chain management. Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock.
* Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast demand and manage inventory turnover. Oversee supply chain processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to streamline operations.
* Implement best practices for supply chain management and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasting models to support business planning.
* Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the supply chain team to achieve individual and departmental goals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
* Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for professional growth. Identify cost drivers within the supply chain processes and initiate cost saving measures.
Skills Required:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data driven decisions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
