Job Summary:
The Senior Scenic Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering high-quality brand environments, set builds, and exhibition stands. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, logistical planning, and a creative mindset to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of scenic projects, ensuring alignment with creative and technical requirements.
* Provide technical, production, and commercial input to support project, account, and creative teams in proposal development.
* Manage quoting, cost analysis, and budgeting, ensuring financial accuracy and value engineering where required.
* Oversee fabrication processes, working with suppliers and internal teams to achieve the desired creative vision.
* Interpret and develop design concepts, technical drawings, and material specifications in collaboration with creative teams.
* With the support of Operations, report on required labour resources, including workshop teams, transport, crew resourcing, and site logistics to maintain project timelines.
* Work closely with crew chiefs to ensure seamless construction and de-rig in the workshop and on-site.
* Work with our Scenic Coordinator to cultivate strong supplier relationships and continue to maintain a high-quality and responsive supply chain.
* With the support of our Health and Safety team, ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessment, RAMS preparation, and adherence to CDM, HSE, and EHO standards.
* Maintain an awareness of low impact materials and practices, advising on alternatives where possible.
* Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and fabrication techniques to drive innovation and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
* Proven scenic project management experience on large and complex builds.
* Strong budgeting and cost control expertise.
* Highly proficient in logistics, construction, and technical production for global event delivery.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
* Decent understanding of AutoCAD, Vectorworks, and other industry-standard software (Supported by the Technical drafting lead).
