An expanding business based near Fleet is offering an opportunity for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team. The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in a hands-on workshop environment and looking for some career development. The Workshop Technician will provide technical support with: Equipment build and test Conversion of stock equipment to satisfy customer requirements Understanding how the technology is constructed and operates Disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly Interpreting detailed instructions, engineering drawings and create technical reports Fault diagnosis and analysis of the equipment to identify potential system issues and offer advice for improvements Checking of incoming goods against engineering drawings with quality awareness Disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. Responsibilities include: Maintaining an efficient and safe workshop and test area environment Compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations Ensuring full conformance to work instructions, procedures, quality standards and specifications Following standard operating procedures. Key skills we're looking for: Proven experience in a manufacturing/repair environment with – ideally 3/5 years of engineering experience Ideally an engineering qualification or evidence of a previous apprenticeship Good mathematical knowledge, able to use simple equations and conversion of units of measure A strong technical ability in mechanical systems Clean driving licence.
