We have an exciting opening for a Category Sales Manager to join and grow our CupPrint business in the UK.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Sales
1. Maximise Cup Print sales and profits across DCR, QSR and Speciality Coffee markets to achieve annual sales targets on a current and multi-year basis.
2. Drive business sales through expansion of customer base and new channels.
3. Scope Cup Print’s markets and potential markets, and develop and implement a strategic plan to grow new markets, both sectors and geographies.
4. Maximise revenue with existing clients.
5. Work with Sales/Customer Service managers and teams to sustain and grow existing markets and customers.
6. Sustain and develop key customer relationship management personally and across the business.
7. Carry out Sales presentations to customer and internal stakeholders as required.
8. Analyse sales trends and dynamics of current business to identify areas of opportunity or threat and adopt appropriate plans to manage these.
9. Achieve personal targets as outlined in the annual budget and review these with Category Lead on a quarterly basis.
10. Regular contact with key stakeholders within defined accounts to ensure all relevant accounts understand the full scope of Cup Print’s offer.
11. NPD Projects – work with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure the customer has a clear understanding of all live project timelines, roadblocks and solutions to ensure successful implementation.
12. Written visit reports for all meetings to be uploaded to Salesforce to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
13. Maintain an accurate log of customer contacts within Salesforce to support mailings/marketing activity where appropriate.
14. Prepare a monthly presentation/report outlining performance for the period, year to date, and highlighting any forthcoming initiatives, risks and opportunities.
Account Management
1. Develop a network of contacts across relevant customers to ensure you are engaging with and promoting Cup Print products and capabilities across all relevant functions and departments including Purchasing, NPD & Technical, Marketing and any others relevant.
2. Ensure pricing is up to date and clear to customers and internal colleagues to minimise price queries and avoid payment delays.
3. Assist Finance team to ensure that customers pay to terms, and resolve any difficulties in a timely manner.
4. Provide customer forecasts to maximise forecast accuracy for efficient supply chain and stock holding.
5. Understand the latest trends and opportunities in our key product sectors with the customer.
Planning & Organising
1. Maintain customer records, estimates, quotations and events.
2. Manage product pricing and review with customers at appropriate times based on significant movement in key variables.
3. Ensure regular and updated customer forecasts on demand by product line and liaise with Sales support and planning.
4. R&D project work (e.g., assisting with new product development).
Budgeting
1. Formulate a sales budget/forecast with the Category Lead.
2. Develop the budget by month to include sales and profitability.
3. Monthly review of budget against actual with the Category Lead.
4. Provide Commercial input to business activity.
5. Carry out Demand Planning for the UK markets.
6. Work with a cross-section of internal functions to develop analysis of profitability of specific customer accounts, markets, sectors, products, etc.
Skills & Experience
1. 3+ years' experience as a Sales Manager/Director in an international organisation.
2. Skilled professional with a recognised track record of achievement in Sales within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3. Cup sales experience with strong UK market knowledge (highly desirable).
4. Experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of winning large accounts.
5. Excellent communication skills; including strong report writing and presentation skills.
6. Well-developed numerical and analytical ability.
