Are you an experienced teacher looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for a dedicated and adaptable SEN Supply Teacher to join the team at a dynamic specialist school in Slough. This is a great opportunity to support students who require additional help re-engaging with their education. As a Supply Teacher, you will cover lessons for students with a range of needs, predominantly focused on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. The students have often faced significant challenges or traumatic experiences, so we need someone who can bring a calm, understanding, and consistent approach to the classroom. You’ll be helping them rebuild trust in education and supporting their academic and emotional development. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students who may struggle with traditional learning environments. A flexible, patient, and empathetic attitude. The ability to quickly build rapport with students and adapt to different class groups. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the needs of students with SEMH and SEN. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs and help them achieve their learning goals. Create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel safe and valued. Work collaboratively with support staff and other teachers to maintain continuity for students across their lessons.
