Job Title: Warehouse Operative Location: Southwater Employment Type : Permanent Main Objective: Coordinate the timely and cost-effective movement of materials, products, and support services to ensure the company meets performance targets. The role involves receiving goods, kitting, replenishing stock, and managing parts with a focus on lean practices and environmental considerations. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and book materials into the system. Load and unload delivery vehicles using a forklift. Support the Materials Team Leader in achieving departmental KPIs and maintaining a clean, organized workspace (6-S standards). Prepare and issue kits and manufacturing orders accurately and on time. Use FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for materials distribution. Manage stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain tidy, secure storage. Replenish stock for production areas and consumable racks daily. Dispose of materials safely, adhering to COSHH and ISO14001 standards. Support quality and environmental objectives under ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards. Skills and Experience: Numerate and literate with material handling experience. Computer literate, including proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel. Familiarity with JIT (Just-In-Time) and KANBAN processes. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. Hands-on, organized, and able to work under pressure.
