Role Overview
Our Claims Handlers will be responsible for supporting the management of the home claims handling processes within the desktop surveying team. As a Claims Handler for our Home Support Services, you'll also be required to maintain and deliver an effective claims support function through desktop settlements, including liaising with suppliers, whilst being available to support our customers.
Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:
* Managing a portfolio of home claims with varying complexities and achieving the optimum outcome in line with our 4Cs values.
* Supporting the desktop team with claims handling activities and attending regular review meetings with our Desktop Surveyors, with a view of proactively managing WIP and reducing claim lifecycles.
* Processing control reports and taking action to ensure compliance with SOPs and best practice to prevent the risk of customer detriment.
* Taking incoming calls to the Desk Surveyor Hunt Group, ensuring our customers receive a high level of service and support throughout their claim.
* Working with the Desk Leader to ensure compliance with best practice documents and technical applications for buildings, contents, recoveries and subsidence handling guidelines.
* Ensuring claims are adequately reserved and claim files are being managed with a high level of accuracy.
Essential skills we would love you to have:
* Exceptional customer service experience within a home claims insurance environment.
* Ability to work independently with initiative but also act as a strong team player.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to build strong relationships with internal colleagues, external suppliers and customers.
