Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Chartered Physiotherapist.
2. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
3. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
4. Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
5. Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
6. Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
7. Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
8. Degree level educated, or equivalent.
9. Minimum of 2 years qualified.
Duties of this role include:
10. To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.
11. Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for relevant departments participating in these patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate.
12. To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally.
13. To ensure the department maintains CHG Physiotherapy accreditation.
14. Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up to date personal portfolio.
