Infrastructure and Maintenance Engineer (101dm) – Bridgwater- Up to £40,000 Our client is seeking a driven and technically skilled Infrastructure and Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you’ll be part of a high-performing group of System and Service Engineers delivering cutting-edge, mission-critical communications infrastructure. What You’ll Be Doing: Deliver complex, bespoke radio and DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) projects from design through to installation and commissioning. Conduct system surveys, create technical designs, and produce post-installation documentation. Carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), adhering to a planned schedule and meeting service level agreements (SLAs). Provide remedial maintenance and troubleshoot network/system incidents to ensure rapid service restoration. Work nationwide when required, with flexibility to support out-of-hours installations and maintenance. Collaborate closely with internal engineering and operational teams to deliver seamless multi-technology solutions. Tech Stack You’ll Work With: DMR Tier 2/3 radio systems (Hytera / TAIT) Axell Wireless / PBE infrastructure RF technologies: TETRA, VHF, Cellular, Analogue Network and unified comms systems (LAN/WAN, IP, GSM, Wi-Fi) DAS design and maintenance in complex environments (airports, tunnels, train stations) RF fault finding, testing, and commissioning (e.g. PIM testing, RF cable replacement) What You’ll Bring: Strong engineering background with hands-on experience in radio and IP infrastructure Experience with designing and commissioning DAS and radio systems In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), database management, and unified communications Excellent communication and client-facing skills A full UK driving license and the ability to pass background checks for secure sites Bonus Points: SC Clearance (or eligibility) CSCS card (Green) Experience with Wi-Fi installation/maintenance What’s in It for You?
