About the role:
If you enjoy a challenge and making a difference to people's lives. This role may be the one for you. You will be providing the residents of Powys with specialist advice and support with
meeting the digital demands of Universal Credit, welfare benefits, personal budgeting and dealing with debt. The role will also include providing financial support advice though our partnership with Macmillan cancer support.

• You will need strong financial literacy and analytical skills to understand and interpret financial data.
• Communication skills are crucial for explaining complex information clearly.
• Empathy and patience help in dealing with clients facing financial difficulties.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail ensure accurate advice.
• Additionally, organisational skills and confidentiality are essential for managing sensitive information and maintaining customer trust.
What you will do:
• You will provide specialist advice and financial guidance to individuals facing financial difficulties.
• You will assess clients’ financial situations, help them create budgets, and offer advice on managing debts and improving credit scores.
• You will also negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients, provide information on welfare benefits, and assist with financial planning.
• You will look to improve customers financial literacy and ensuring they understand their options to make informed decisions.
