The Role Cover Supervisor
Location: Based at St Augustine’s Catholic School, Scarborough, working for the St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust.
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday 08.00-16.00, (One 15.30 finish) Friday 07.30-15.30
Term time only plus 5 training days
Salary/ Hourly Rate: Grade 4 (SCP 5-6) £23500-£23893 per annum pro rata, Actual £20187 - 20524

Our opportunity
We are looking to appoint into the important post of Cover Supervisor to start in January 2025. You will provide cover for absent teaching
staff and be a key member of our support staff team. Here at St Augustine’s we are fortunate to have a strong and skilled pastoral
team who make such a difference to our students. We encourage interest and applications from candidates who have experience of
working with young people, and who would thrive in working in secondary education, which offers reward, challenge and where no

What you will need to succeed:
• Committed to supporting students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective communicator both orally and in writing
• Effective ICT skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Understanding of the educational system and current developments
• Ability to motivate and to support learning
You will have:
• GCSE Maths and English Grade A* to C (or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification or above, and/or equivalent practical work experience.
• Experience of working within a school/academy/educational setting.
