Wind Turbine Technician
Location : Based near Cumbria, United Kingdom (onshore and offshore)
Salary : £40, - £65, DOE (Depending on Experience)
Benefits : Offshore allowance, healthcare, accommodation support when needed
We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working on V, V, or V7 wind turbines and must be willing to work on both onshore and offshore projects. This role demands technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and flexibility in work environments.
1. Maintenance and Repairs : Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on V, V, or V7 wind turbines to ensure optimal performance.
2. Inspections : Conduct detailed inspections of turbine components, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective measures.
3. Installation Support : Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbines, both onshore and offshore.
4. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
5. Technical Reporting : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, generating detailed technical reports.
6. Team Collaboration : Work closely with other technicians and engineers, providing support and sharing expertise to enhance team performance.
7. Training and Development : Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience
8. Proven experience working with V, V, or V7 wind turbines.
9. Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
10. Ability to work both onshore and offshore, with flexibility in work schedules.
11. Commitment to safety and adherence to strict safety protocols.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
13. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
14. Relevant technical certification or vocational training in wind turbine technology or a related field.
15. Offshore certifications (such as GWO) are preferred but not mandatory.
